I think it's best to tell you though that I have yet again broken up with oil paint. The deliciously rich and creamy medium, that comes in amazingly yummy colors, has yet again sent me into a state of frustration. Why? Well, if you happened to see the video of when I painted the flag you might have noticed that I tend to get covered in paint when I'm painting. Also, the dry time is exhausting and I am far too impatient for that. Lastly, the clean up is time consuming. However, I do still love using oil bars which are handy for adding detail into my paintings.
I have tremendous respect for artists who paint with oil exclusively. Who knows maybe someday I'll get back together with oil paints. But, for now my heart belongs to acrylic and watercolor. I'm really happy with the paintings I have created in oil. All of the paintings on this blog are painted using only oil paints.
